It was the Golden Globes last night and anybody who was anybody was out in their best frocks. I have picked some gorgeous dresses from the  red carpet that have quite a vintage feel to them. Heidi Klum was looking very bold & bright in a dress from Marc Jacob's very 70s inspired collection (see more of his collection in one of my previous blogs). Jayma Mays, from Glee, was looking fabulous in a very gothic art deco inspired dress from Alberta Ferretti.

Milla Jovovich and Olivia Wilde's dresses would probably have to be my favourites for the night. Jovovich always manages to pull off quite a vintage boho look and her look last night is just perfect. From her hair down to her jewelery... it is just divine! Although, if I had a chance to go the ball I would probably wear Olivia Wilde's sparkly Cinderella dress. Not only does she look fabulous she also looks like she is having so much fun!

What do you think?

Marc Jacobs Spring 2011 ready to wear collection...

10 January 2011

Marc Jacobs has definitely been inspired by the Seventies and the East in his Spring RTW 2011 collection. He has chosen beautiful bright colours and fabulous prints. I especially love the mixture of silk and satin and his ode to Missoni's zig-zag knitwear. I will definitely be getting myself a wide-brimmed straw hat this summer. I think they are fabulous and will look great with your summer wardrobe,  plus they really remind me of Jodie Foster in Taxi Driver! This collection has definitely got me excited about Summer!
